Banaras Food & Cooking Experience
Itinerary
Arrive in Varanasi, India’s oldest living city and a paradise for food lovers. After hotel check-in and relaxation, begin your evening food exploration tour through the winding alleys of Vishwanath Gali and Godowlia Chowk.
Savor mouth-watering kachoris, aloo sabzi, tamatar chaat, and freshly fried jalebis from century-old stalls.
End the evening at the riverfront, watching the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, followed by a taste of the city’s signature Banarasi paan — a perfect culinary conclusion to your first day.
Overnight stay in Varanasi.
After breakfast, head to the local spice and vegetable markets to explore ingredients that form the heart of Banaras cuisine. Learn about seasonal produce, unique local spices, and the balance of Ayurvedic flavors.
Later, participate in an interactive traditional cooking workshop led by a local home chef or culinary expert.
Prepare authentic dishes like Baati-Chokha, Dum Aloo Banarasi, and Kheer, learning the art of Banarasi-style seasoning and plating.
Lunch will feature the dishes you create, followed by a short session on Banarasi sweets and thandai preparation.
Evening free to explore cafes and dessert shops at Assi Ghat. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Start your morning with a Banarasi breakfast trail, sampling lassi, poori-sabzi, and rabri from local favorites.
Later, enjoy a culinary reflection session where you’ll receive recipe notes and cooking tips from your instructor.
Optional visit to Bharat Mata Temple or BHU campus before departure.
Transfer to airport or railway station with memories of Banaras’s soulful tastes and newly learned recipes.
